Supporting young entrepreneurs in agriculture
AgFutures Inc. is a not for profit association representing young people in agriculture and we believe that by integrating technology to the sector we will inspire the next generation of agribusiness entrepreneurs.
Young people are ready to adopt new technologies that will unlock the potential in agriculture, providing increased incomes and confidence to build a better life.
"Our dream for AgFutures is for our farmers, particularly our youth, to unite and develop a way forward through technology so that we Papua New Guineans benefit more fully from the agriculture sector. We toil hard on our land, but we struggle to take advantage of all the potential. As co-operative societies or ILG’s we tend to let our own internal issues stand in the way of true collaboration, the type needed to access finance and higher value markets. We seem to have many disputes over our lands, the very asset that gives us strength and opportunity."

Access AgBook's face to face and online training programs in financial and business literacy. They have a particular focus on young people as their role in society is changing and have new economic responsibilities. It is essential to equip young women and men with financial knowledge and management skills to enable them to set goals in life and make plans for realizing them.
